Season of Celebration

Here we are at the end of another year. It's been exciting for me!! I've launched my new website and incorporated a wonderful tool, a Flickr. page that showcases alot of my work. I've also become a member of Arts on Main Gallery and am also showing at Side Street Gallery in Wellington. Check out my other web page.
There is so much going on in Prince Edward County believe it or not, at this time of year. Countylicious just finished. Those of you who missed out, you'll have to wait until next spring for the follow up round.

This weekend (Saturday, December  4th) check out 'Art for a Winter's Night' at Suites on the Lake Inn at 229 Mian Street, Wellington, ON  613.399.1717. Some of my fellow artist's and artisans will be offering their wares for sale at this one night show and sale. Glass, jewellery, encaustic and fibre works as well as fine art. Something for everyone! It's an opportunity to meet with some of these talented people and do a little Christmas shopping.

Come in to Arts on Main Gallery on Main Street Picton and check out some inspiring works. A great place to find original works at everyone's price point.

Just wanted to share some of my favourite sites with you.
Ruth Gangbar, well known foodie and Toronto food stylist (You'll see some of her beautiful work in the LCBO Food & Drink magazine) shares some great recipes and information to inspire you at ruthscanteen.com. She shares with you some mouth watering scandinavian dishes (I can relate to that, being that I'm Icelandic and grew up with this stuff)

Vicki's Veggie's is a favourite spot to drop in (at least for me, I live down the road) and pick up some last minute fresh veggies for dinner. Vicki and Tim put so much love into growing their veggies I swear they are the best around!!
Don't miss the Busy Hands Annual Sale above Books & Co. at 289 Main Street, Picton on December 11th 9a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the 12th from 10a.m. until 5p.m. Beautiful works to buy for Xmas!!

Del-Gatto Estates Winery is not to be missed. Just opened their doors this past year 'La Cantina', so a wonderful accomplishment all around to tip a glass too. Had some of their lovely 2009 White Label Chardonnay recently. Really lovely, clean and crisp with a lovely minerality and freshness.
